Do you have any questions on that? They’re going to have expectations of what they can expect from you. This is setting that culture and that expectation early on.

I tell them mistakes are welcomed, the more the merrier. I say as long as you’re not repeating the same mistake, I say typically big problems often start out as small problems. If you can let me know when a problem or something happens, a mistake, let me know when it’s a small problem, rather than waiting for it to get really big and then coming to me. I find this key to effective outsourcing. So I say the more mistakes the better, just come to me. You want to encourage that because sometimes in these third world countries and India is a good example, they aim to please. Often they don’t want to come to you with their mistakes. You need to let them know, as part of our culture, we encourage mistakes.
